1. Ten year risk of coronary events based on United Kingdom Prospective Diabetes Study (UKPDS)
Criteria
1. Gender
2. Age (under 60, 60 to 75, 75 or over)
3. Diabetes Mellitus Duration (under 5, 5 to 10, 10 or over)
4. Tobacco Use (Never, Quit, Current)
5. Hemoglobin A1C (under 7, 7 to 8, 7 or over)
6. Total Cholesterol to HDL Cholesterol ratio (under 4, 4 to 6, 6 or over)
7. Urine Microalbumin (under 30, over 30 mcg/dl)
Interpretation
1. Similar risk interpretation as for Framingham Score
