II. Indications: Highly effective Contraception where pregnancy risk is too high
- Poorly controlled diabetes (increased risk of major Congenital Anomaly)
- Severe macrovascular and microvascular complications
III. Management
- Oral Contraceptives with low-dose Estrogen and less androgenic Progestin
- Intrauterine Device (Copper-T IUD or, based on recent data, Mirena IUD)
- Avoid Depo Provera
