  1. Given within the first 7-8 days of exposure
Doing
1. Rubella Ig 0.25-0.50 ml/kg (0.12-0.20 ml/lb) IM
Adverse effects (Rare)
1. Neuritis
2. Arthritis
3. Encephalitis
