III. Technique

  1. Patient lies supine with legs extended
  2. Clinician places one fist under patient's proximal calf
  3. Clinician places other hand over the top of the distal anterior thigh and applies downward pressure

    1. Patient's heel remains elevated off the bed
  3. Positive Test (for ACL Rupture)
    1. Patient's heel falls to rest against the bed surface

V. Efficacy

  1. Test Sensitivity: 83 to 100%
  2. Test Specificity: 80 to 100%
