III. Mechanism

  1. Multiple radiation beams directed at target tumor
  2. High-dose radiation to the tumor (sparing surrounding tissue)

IV. Protocol

  1. Tumor Localization
    1. MRI used to localize the tumor
    2. Patient's head fixed in a positioning frame to prevent movement
  2. Dose: Single treatment for 45-60 minutes
