III. Criteria

  1. Assign a severity score to each of the 5 symptoms and 6 signs below
    1. Score 0: Absent
    2. Score 1: Mild
    3. Score 2: Moderate
    4. Score 3: Severe
  2. Symptoms (0 to 15 points)
    1. Pain
    2. Cramps
    3. Heaviness
    4. Pruritus
    5. Paresthesias
  3. Signs (0 to 18 points)
    1. Edema
    2. Skin Induration
    3. Hyperpigmentation
    4. Venous Ectasia
    5. Redness
    6. Pain on calf compression

IV. Interpretation: Post-Thrombotic Syndrome (PTS) Diagnosis and Severity

  1. Total 0 to 4: Absent PTS
  2. Total 5 to 9: Mild PTS
  3. Total 10 to 14: Moderate PTS
  4. Total >=15: Severe PTS
