Indications
1. Abnormal Uterine Bleeding
Interpretation: Biopsy Results - Normal
1. Atrophic endometrium
2. Proliferative endometrium
3. Secretory endometrium
Indications: Biopsy Results - Abnormal
1. Endometrial Cancer
2. Endometrial Hyperplasia
  1. Cystic hyperplasia (rarely progresses to cancer)
    1. No treatment necessary
  2. Adenomatous hyperplasia (10% progresses to cancer)
    1. Intermittent or continuous Progestin
    2. Repeat biopsy in 3 to 6 months
  3. Atypical Adenomatous hyperplasia (25-50% progress)
    1. No future pregnancy planned
      1. Hysterectomy
    2. Future Fertility desired
      1. Consult with gynecology due to high risk
      2. High dose continuous Progestin
      3. Resample every 6 months
