Vertigo Caused by Psychological ConditionAka: Dizziness Caused by Psychological Condition, Psychological Conditions Causing Dizziness

Findings suggestive of Psychological cause of Dizziness
1. Provoked by stress (also seen in Migraine)
2. Constant Vertigo for weeks
  1. Anxiety or Depression
  2. Brief spells are seen in Panic Attacks
  3. Persistent Vertigo also seen in Meniere's
Symptoms: Dizziness due to Depression or Anxiety
1. Timing: Chronic Dizziness
2. Characteristics
  1. Lightheaded sensation
  2. May experience floating or rocking sensation
3. Provocative: Keep head still and move eyes
Symptoms: Dizziness due to Panic Attack
1. Timing: Brief spells lasting minutes
2. Characteristics
  1. Dizziness and Nausea
  2. Accompanied by Panic Symptoms (sweats, Palpitations)
