  3. Concurrent medication use contraindicating Adenosine

    2. Aggrenox
  4. Comorbid conditions contraindicating Adenosine
    1. Bronchospastic lung disease
    2. Severe Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
    3. Critical Carotid Stenosis

IV. Contraindications

  1. Concurrent Beta-Blocker use
  2. Body habitus interferes with Echocardiogram windows
    1. Optison contrast can be used to increase accuracy

V. Advantages

  1. Beta adrenergic agonist increases coronary flow 3x
  2. More specific than Adenosine (but less sensitive)
