Darvocet

Aka: Darvocet, Darvon, Acetaminophen with Propoxyphene
  1. Indications: Listed for historical purposes only
    1. Analgesic (discontinued in U.S. 2007 and FDA banned in the U.S. in 2010)
  2. Dosing: Acetaminophen 650 with Propoxyphene 100 (Darvocet N-100)
    1. Dose: 1 PO q4-6 hours
  3. Efficacy
    1. Propoxyphene 100 equivalent to Codeine 32 mg
    2. Tylenol alone is as effective as Darvocet

  4. Adverse Effects
    1. Propoxyphene can cause serious arrhythmias
