    5. Sputum produced throughout day: 1 point
    6. Respiratory Rate over 25 breaths per minute: 2 points
    7. Temperature over 100 F or 37.8 C: 2 points
  3. Interpretation of total point score
    1. Points -3: Pneumonia probablity = 0.0%
    2. Points -2: Pneumonia probablity = 0.7%
    3. Points -1: Pneumonia probablity = 1.6%
    4. Points 0: Pneumonia probablity = 2.2%
    5. Points 1: Pneumonia probablity = 8.8%
    6. Points 2: Pneumonia probablity = 10.3%
    7. Points 3: Pneumonia probablity = 25%
    8. Points >3: Pneumonia probablity = 29.4%
