  1. Cofactor in the acquisition of HIV Infection
  2. Serology may be prolonged positive despite treatment
  3. Increased risk for Neurosyphilis
    1. Syphilitic Meningitis
    2. Cranial neuritis
    3. Positive CSF Syphilis Serology
