  1. Oral anatomic abnormalities
  2. Dehydration
  3. Prematurity

V. Signs

  1. Warm, tender single Salivary Gland (usually parotid)

VI. Labs

  1. Gram Stain and culture of Salivary duct secretions
    1. Parotid duct (Stensen's Duct) at upper second molar

VII. Management

  1. Increase hydration
  2. Oral antibiotics

VIII. Course

  1. Resolution usually within 1 week
