      1. Orchitis occurs in 20-35% of Mumps Parotitis cases
      2. Bilateral in 15% of cases

    4. Granulomatous Orchitis
      1. Autoimmune response to spermatazoa in older men
  2. Symptoms
    1. Sudden onset of Testicular Pain
    2. High fever
    3. Nausea or Vomiting
  3. Signs
    1. Enlarged Testis
    2. Indurated and tender on testicular palpation
  4. Labs: Urinalysis
    1. Proteinuria
    2. Hematuria
  5. Management
    1. Bed rest
    2. Scrotal support
    3. Local Ice Therapy
    4. NSAIDs
    5. Specific antimicrobial therapy where indicated
  6. Prognosis
    1. Mumps orchitis confers 4% risk of sterility
    2. Testes may become atrophic
    3. Androgenic function usually maintained
