II. General

  1. Do not use subcutaneous tissue
  2. Plan backwards (confirm graft will cover area)

III. Graft Types

  1. Full thickness graft for volar surface injuries
    1. Donor site: thigh or lateral buttock
    2. May become dark after 2-3 days
      1. Underlying tissue is still viable
  2. Partial (split) thickness graft for dorsal surface
    1. Donor site: flexor creases of wrist or elbow
  3. Amputated Finger Tip
    1. May be grafted if in good condition
    2. remove all adipose tissue if over age 5 years
