  1. Indications
    1. Prolonged delay between Laceration and treatment
      1. See Laceration Repair
    2. Minor soft tissue amputations without bone loss
    3. Less than 1 cm square in size
    4. No significant volar pulp loss
    5. If unsure
      1. Temporize with management below
      2. Arrange follow-up and possible graft in 1-2 days
  2. Management
    1. Cleansing
    2. Debridement
    3. Healing by secondary intention
    4. Dressing Changes
      1. Twice daily for 2 days after injury, then daily
      2. Apply tube gauze and petroleum jelly
    5. Anticipatory Guidance
      1. Recovery in 2-3 weeks
