Indications: Lead Poisoning
1. Low to moderate Lead Intoxication (25-49 ug/dl)
Mechanism
1. Oral lead chelating agent
Dosing
1. DMSA 10 mg/kg PO every 8 hours for 5 days
Efficacy
1. Safer than other lead chelating agents
2. More effective for moderate poisoning than other agents
