  2. Signs and Symptoms
    1. Pain
    2. Swelling
    3. Inability to bear weight
    4. Significant deformity if dislocation present
  3. Management
    1. Reduce Fracture dislocation
    2. Immobilize in plaster splint
    3. Elevate
    4. Cast for 6-8 weeks
    5. Surgical Indication: Ankle mortise disrupted
      1. Surgery needed to Restore anatomic position of talus
      2. Ensure smooth articular surface of ankle
  4. Complications
    1. Arthritis likely if poorly aligned ankle joint surface
