Indications
1. Migraine Abortive Management
Dosing
1. Parenteral
  1. Initial: 1 mg SC/IM/IV over 3-4 minutes
  2. Repeat: May repeat every 1 hour
  3. Maximum: 3 mg/day, 6 mg/week, 20 mg/month
2. Intranasal Dihydroergotamine (Migranal)
Advantages
1. Weaker vasoconstrictor (less Side Effects)
2. No Rebound Headache
Adverse Effects
1. Retroperitoneal fibrosis
