Course
1. Originate as two separate nuclei
  1. Cochlear nerve (innervates Organ of Corti)
  2. Vestibular nerve (innervates semicircular canals)
2. Fibers from both nerves join to form 1 trunk
3. Passes via internal auditory canal
Exam
1. Cochlear nerve
  1. Hearing Testing
2. Vestibular nerve
  1. Vestibular Testing (Labyrinthine testing)
  2. Spontaneous Nystagmus
