Jack, a local veterinarian, fell ill and went to see
his doctor. She began to ask Jack all the usual
questions, such as his symptoms, and their duration, when
Jack interuppted her.
"Look, I'm a vet, and I don't need to ask my patients all
these questions. I simply look at them and I can tell
exactly what's wrong. Why can't you?"
The doctor nodded as if she understood. She then looked
Jack up and down, and wrote out a prescription. As she
handed him the prescription, she said "There you go. Now
of course if that doesn't work, we'll have to put you
down."
