    1. Tinea Capitis
      1. Eight to sixteen weeks of therapy or
      2. Two weeks after cultures are negative
  4. Efficacy
    1. Very effective for Tinea Capitis over 2-4 months
    2. Not as effective for Tinea Unguium
  5. Dosing
    1. Adults
      1. Griseofulvin 1 gram per day
      2. Ultramicrosize 350-750 mg (better absorption)
    2. Children
      1. Griseofulvin 10-12 mg/kg/day
  6. Precautions: Follow Liver Function Tests if
    1. Baseline abnormal
    2. Prolonged therapy
  7. Directions
    1. Take with food (especially a fatty meal) for better absorption
