  1. Type 1: Hard, nut-like stool lumps (difficult passage)
  2. Type 2: Sausage-shaped, lumpy stool
  3. Type 3: Sausage-shaped stool with cracked surface (not lumpy as in Type 2)
  4. Type 4: Snake-shaped, smooth, soft, stool
  5. Type 5: Soft blobs of easily passed stool with clear-cut edges
  6. Type 6: Mushy, fluffy stool pieces with ragged edges
  7. Type 7: Liquid stools with no solid pieces
