Upper Eyelid EversionAka: Eyelid Eversion

Indications
1. Eyelid Foreign Body Exam
2. Examination of superior cul-de-sac and Conjunctiva
Technique
1. Patient looks down with both eyes open
2. Depress the mid-portion of upper lid laterally
  1. Use Cotton swab or other blunt instrument
3. Grasp the lashes of the upper lid and lift upward
4. Upper lid remains relaxed while patient looks downward
