    1. Fluorescein in solution or strips
      1. Fluorescein solution easily grows Pseudomonas
        1. Take care to avoid contamination
      2. Dampen strips with saline or moist Conjunctiva
    2. Fluorescein stains epithelial defects
    3. Visualize defects under cobalt blue or wood's lamp
    4. Irrigate eye after stain to avoid eye reaction to dye
  4. Technique 2
    1. Observe Corneal reflection from penlight
    2. As pt moves his eye into various positions,
      1. Epithelial disruption distorts reflection
