Impetigo Herpetiformis

Pathophysiology
1. Pustular Psoriasis variant
Symptoms
1. Nausea or Vomiting
2. Diarrhea
3. Fever and chills
4. No Pruritus
Signs
1. Pustular Psoriasis on extremities
2. Lymphadenopathy
Management
1. Increased antepartum observation
2. Prednisone 20-60 mg with taper
3. Antibiotics as indicated for secondary Skin Infections
Complications
1. Secondary bacterial infection (may be systemic)
2. Hyperparathyroidism
3. Adverse fetal outcomes
Course
1. Onset in second half of pregnancy
2. Resolves after delivery
3. May recur with future pregnancies
