  2. Epidemiology
    1. Prevalence: Occurs in 5% of pregnancies
  3. Causes
    1. Poor Oral Hygiene
    2. Local trauma (e.g. dental fillings or dentures)
    3. Pregnancy (Epulis Gravidarum, Pregnancy Oral Tumor)
  4. Symptoms
    1. Rapidly growing oral lesion
  5. Signs
    1. Erythematous Gingival Nodule or lobulated swelling
    2. May be as large as 1-2 centimeters in size
    3. Distribution
      1. Gingiva most commonly
      2. Less common on lip, Tongue or Buccal mucosa
  6. Management
    1. Pregnancy: Observe
      1. Typically recedes after pregnancy
      2. Removal may be indicated in excessive bleeding
      3. Higher recurrence rate if occurs during pregnancy
    2. Non-pregnanct: Surgical excision
      1. Low Incidence for recurrence
