- Continuous EKG loop recorder worn by patient
- Patient pushes button on recorder when symptoms occur
- Event Monitor only saves recording when button pushed
- Records a few minutes before and after event
- Usually may record up to 4 episodes
- Recordings transmitted via phone to lab for analysis
IV. Disadvantages
- Does not save tracings if Arrhythmia is asymptomatic
